I think that the children’s playground could be improved. It’s quite good, but it sometimes has a kind of drab feeling about it, so if they did something to it, maybe even prune the trees which are really hanging over it, make sure there isn’t litter around.
More climbing stuff in the woods, swings and hidey-holes that the kids can run around in.
I think this is a great place to be and it will attract more families, if they spend money here. It’s certainly under-developed and under utilised.
There could be more facilities for this age group (points at children), like skateboarding. They could do a skate ramp-the area’s big enough.
It’s good to skate, but it needs a lot more to skate on. It’s way too empty.
I would like to see the cycle circuit, the full cycle circuit, which was around the complete perimeter, re-opened for big events.
We have circuit racing here, on a mile circuit around the concert bowl, every Tuesday evening throughout the summer. Unfortunately there are very few changing facilities and toilet facilities to go with that. Everything is remote from it.
Maybe a Cricket pitch. There’s plenty of room for one down there. They also bring a nice villagey feel to the place.
They need to clean out the river and ponds and stuff.
I must say the toilets need sorting out as well.
I would definitely like to see some animals back here and some more events, because we used to have quite a few events in the park.
Importantly, I think, there should be some kind of revamping of some nature on the old Crystal Palace site. Not necessarily re-building it, but just something else which appreciates the historical context.
Make the maze better. Make the bushes more filled out so that you can’t see through them.
What I don’t want to see is for the park to become too clinical. Do you know what I mean?
Some parks are restored and become almost too precious- don’t walk on the grass, don’t do this. I want it to be a living park.
Just tidy it up a bit and give it a new lease of life.
