Location filming and photography
Crystal Palace Park is a film friendly location. The park has indoor and outdoor locations that can be put to a wide variety of uses. Historical, modern, futuristic, natural, hardstanding and even a maze! You can find details about hirable spaces here.
There are a number of hardstanding spaces that can accommodate large unit bases and spaces for production offices (subject to availability).
The park has access to both water and electricity in key areas and filming can take place, subject to permissions, throughout the park.

Permits
All filming and photography projects require a permit to operate in the park. To gain a permit, the Events team need to see some minimum information which we encourage you to prepare in advance:
• key details of your proposed activity including dates, times and proposed content,
• current and valid insurance details,
• and a risk assessment
Permits usually carry a charge to cover administration and risk of hosting your activity. If your project is low or no budget, speak to the Events team directly about what's possible.
Did you know?
Over the years the park has been the backdrop to some iconic movie moments, including the infamous "blow the bloody doors off" scene from the Italian Job, the Formula One race track from Rush (pictured), acting as Central Park in Morbius, and bringing the dinosaurs to life in Good Omens.
Photography and filming in Crystal Palace Park
We welcome your photography and filming in Crystal Palace Park for personal, non-commercial use. Please refrain from using a tripod or supplementary lighting as these can cause hazards and inconvenience for other visitors. Monopods and selfie sticks are permitted.
